This series introduced Matt Smith as the 11th Doctor and Karen Gillan as Amy Pond and Arthur Darvill as Rory.
Tweed jackets, bow-ties and elbow patches became fashionable along with shorter rolled up trousers and the Fez. The costume remained mostly the same for this series although I really wanted to move it along, but I’m happy to say that it did move along and evolve as Matt’s different series were broadcast, which was the original intention.
This series went from Earth to different planets via 15 century Venice and 19th Century France and there were just a few Romans at the end of the series along with every enemy the Doctor had.
A star studded cast of guest actors led by Alex Kingston who played River Song.
